I studied visual arts and biology in college. For my senior exhibit, I did a series of portraits focusing on beauty and idealization of models in the media. I hung the portraits, idealized versions of already-idealized images, above a row of mirrors at eye level so viewers were forced to compare their own images and reality with impossible standards. I wanted it to have a somewhat religious effect where viewers felt placed in a position of reverence for such standards, too. Fun stuff!
